The Road to Heaven
Understand that we are all sinners, but God still loves us.
Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

A sin is anything that violates God's laws. These laws are recorded throughout the Word of God. A simple example of these laws is that God expects us to always tell the truth. Who among us can honestly say that we have always done this? One violation of His law makes us a sinner. In spite of our sin, God still loves every one of us.

Understand that sin condemns us, but God made a way.
Romans 6:23: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 5:8: "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Heaven is a perfect place. It requires perfection for entry. Unfortunately, our sin disqualifies us for Heaven and condemns us to Hell. No amount of good works will make up for the lack of perfection that we have. God, through His loving mercy, provided us a path to Heaven in spite of our sin. He gave us His Son, Jesus, who died on the cross to pay for that way.

Confess that you're a sinner, and put your faith in Jesus.
Ephesians 2:8-9: "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Romans 10:9: "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
While Jesus came to die for everyone, we must be willing to accept Him as our Lord and Saviour. We must call upon Him in prayer and receive Him in faith. It really is that simple. If you have not done this, please consider going to Him in prayer now:

Dear Lord, I know I am sinner. I am sorry for that sin. I am putting my faith in you, Jesus, as my personal Saviour. Thank you for this free gift. Amen.
