Exciting Announcement: Calvary Sports League Spring Season Kickoff!

We are thrilled to kick off our inaugural season of the Calvary Sports League this Spring! Our first season will feature a Flag Football Camp and Tournament for 3rd-5th grade players, and we can't wait to see everyone on the field!

Key Activities & Dates:

Registration & Fees:
The cost for registration is $20 per player, and an optional league shirt is available for $10. Payments can be made through our giving link on our website, during tryouts, or on the first day of practice.

What to Expect:
Throughout the season, we encourage players and parents to invite family members and friends to cheer on the players. We believe that it is both good and healthy for sports to be competitive. This is a great chance for our athletes to showcase the skills they’ve developed and for everyone to be part of the experience! We are a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church, and we do expect for there to be proper conduct during every event. We reserve the right to remove a player or fan for any reason. No alcohol, foul language, or smoking is allowed at games or practices.

Our Mission:
Our goal is to offer an affordable yet competitive league where players not only learn the essential skills needed to compete but also develop valuable teamwork and leadership qualities that will serve them well beyond the field.

Location & Transportation:
Our church does not have the field space to host football games. All practices and games are set to take place at the football field in Ogden. Please note the location of games and practices prior to signing up. We understand that transportation can sometimes be a challenge. Rest assured, we will handle transportation requests on a case-by-case basis. If transportation is an issue for you, please reach out as soon as possible, and we’ll work together to find a solution.

Kickoff Event

Saturday, March 29: 1:00PM-3:00PM

Every player will be assigned to a team after the kickoff event, and we will use this to grade players and ensure we have equally competitive teams for the regular season games and tournament.

Weekly Practice

Tuesday or Thursday:

5:30PM-6:45PM

After the tryouts, each team will have a weekly practice on Tuesday or Thursday. If you have a preference, you can indicate it in registration.

Scrimmage/Camp #2

Saturday, April 5: 1:00PM-3:30PM

After tryout camp and the first week of practice, we will have scrimmages between the teams to view progress and identify training focus before the first games begin the next weekend.

Weekly Games

Saturdays starting April 12

1:00PM-3:30PM

Teams will play two games each Saturday for a total of six regular season games. *Subject to change based on total player sign-ups.

CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

Saturday, May 3rd from 1:00PM-4:30PM

We will have a single-elimination tournament to end the season. Each team is guaranteed to play at least two games. Following the tourney, we will have a pizza party and awards ceremony for players and their families.

This registration form serves as a permission slip for your child(s), and it must be submitted by a legal guardian of the child(s). By submitting it, you agree to allow your child(s) to participate in all functions of the Calvary Sports League (CSL) hosted by Calvary Baptist Church. Further, you agree not to hold Calvary Baptist Church, or any of its officers or volunteers, liable for any injuries that may occur to your child(s) during CSL or in transit to or from CSL. You also understand that the Bible will be used as a teaching tool and taught to your child regularly throughout the season. *Your contact information will be added to our mailing list when you register for this event.
